Proof of purchase is one of the following:

  • Original packing slip
  • Gift packing slip
  • Order number
  • Email Receipt (From Chicago Gem Shop or Paypal)
  • Email account tied to purchase (Paypal email or Account Email)

Chicago Gem Shop will accept returns or exchanges on Gem & Mineral orders, as long as:

  • Return or exchange is requested within 7 days of receiving the package.
  • Gems or Minerals are returned in good condition and undamaged.
  • Buyer pays shipping back for returned item.
  • You have proof of purchase.

If you are unsatisfied with the quality of the gems or minerals, you have received from us, or an item was damaged during transit; we will accept a return or exchange with proof of purchase. We cannot accept any returns or exchanges without a proof of purchase. We offer refunds to both U.S. and International orders. International orders cannot be refunded if incorrect shipping address was provided at time of purchase, or if item is lost due to courier issues. Domestic orders if your order has been lost due to incorrect shipping, or lost due to courier issues, please contact us with proof of purchase and your question.

  • Knife or Knives are returned in good condition and undamaged.
  • Buyer pays for shipping back for returned item.
  • Buyer has proof of purchase.

If you are unsatisfied with the quality of the gems or minerals, you have received from us, or an item was damaged during transit; we will accept a return or exchange with proof of purchase. Knives are inspected one last time before shipping, we strive for a quality product for our customers. We cannot accept any returns or exchanges without a proof of purchase. We offer refunds to both U.S. and International orders. International orders cannot be refunded if incorrect shipping address was provided at time of purchase, or if item is lost due to international courier issues. Your payment will be refunded to your payment source (PayPal, Debit/Credit Card, or Cryptocurrency Address) once the returned item has been received. Cryptocurrency refunds will be calculated by the market price from when the order was placed, this is to avoid refunds where a customer receives more or less than they sent previously. Cryptocurrency orders are subject to transaction fees, fees for refunds will be covered with the buyers refund total. To avoid any fraudulent refunds we can only refund back to the Paypal, Debit/Credit Card, or Cryptocurrency Address used during checkout. We will verify before refunding that this is okay.

If you’d like to return a gift, we currently can’t offer in store credit. We can exchange any gifts with proof of purchase. We will be working to implement in store credit for those who would like to return gifts in the future.
